Volunteer

 

Interested in helping the school or volunteering for us? Let us help you participate in PTA Your Way. Please use the email above to contact our team with how you can help us. If every family donated 2 hours of their time a year, we could do everything! Below are some ideas of how you can be of service:

 

- CORPORATE CONTACTS: Do you work for a company that might be willing to donate items for an auction? Does your company have a donation match program? Are they interested in sponsoring a program or event?

 

- PARTICIPATE FROM HOME: Can build websites? Can participate in meetings through zoom? Great with spreadsheets and data bases? Enjoy updating social media? Can help organize volunteers?

 

- COMMUNITY ORIENTED: Do you have a lot of connections in Los Angeles? Would you like to set up Restaurant Nights? Are you able to connect with local businesses to support our school? Can you help get a corporate banner program going on our fences? Would love to attend the Lake Balboa Neighborhood Council Meetings to make connections with local businesses and local government/services?

 

- AVAILABLE FOR MEETINGS or ARE BILINGUAL WITH TIME TO SPARE: Are you sometimes available during the day and would like to represent parents on one of the school councils once a month? Are you bilingual and willing to come help ELL parents better understand the school system better?

 

IN PERSON TO ASSIST ANYTIME: Would you like to help with on campus events? Help sell candy and chips at events? Would you like to chaperone dances and fieldtrips? We would love to have you - but you must become an official LAUSD Volunteer!

 

The LAUSD Process is required for anyone over 18 that is not staff or an enrolled student at the school that would like to participate or help at any on-campus event (except parent meetings). If you think you might be interested, please fill out the application and take the TB questionnaire to a doctor (even CVS). The TB is good for 4 years. This process can take weeks or longer. Please complete it as soon as possible if you think you might ever want to participate on campus. It does not obligate you - only opens up the option for you.
