Mr. Norton's "Crafting Stories Frame by Frame" presentation at the STN Conference 2025 captivated an overflowing crowd of over 300 attendees. In two inspiring sessions, Mr. Norton shared insights from his career and his transition to teaching CTE Digital Film and Video Production, offering valuable lessons on storytelling and industry practices.

DPMHS video production students showcased their talent at the Student Television Network (STN) Conference in Tampa, competing in the intense Short & Silent Film challenges. Narrowly missing a top spot by just one point, they displayed exceptional teamwork, creativity, and professionalism. Their dedication and sportsmanship made DPMHS proud, proving that success is about more than just awards.

We are proud to introduce the DPMHS CTE Advisory Board, a team of industry professionals shaping the future of our Video Production program. With expertise in cinematography, animation, costume design, and digital fabrication, these accomplished mentors will provide valuable insights into industry trends and essential skills for students. Their guidance will help ensure our curriculum prepares aspiring filmmakers for success in today’s evolving media landscape.

The National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. These students will be honored at a showcase and awards ceremony in March.

The Magnet School of Excellence is the top merit award category and is only awarded to a select group of magnet schools.
The Magnet School of Merit Awards elevates that standard to recognize member magnet schools/programs that demonstrate an exemplary commitment to academic standards, curriculum innovation, desegregation/diversity efforts, specialized teaching staffs and parent and community involvement.

Gracie Huaman wins National First-Generation Recognition and National Hispanic Recognition awards. Both awards are awarded to students (in their respective categories) for a GPA of 3.3 or higher, scoring in the top 10% of PSAT/NSMQT of test takers in their state, and earning a 3 or higher on at least 2 or more AP Exams.
